From Wastewater to Drinking Water – Home Water Filtration

Home Water Filtration – Florida: There is a fact that many community planners understand, but may be a bit difficult to accept. Wastewater can be purified to the point of sanitary and potable water for the drinking. This is not an easy concept to accept, but it does, in fact happen every day all over the country. This is not just a third world solution to a water shortage. It happens in the good old USA.

The growing green technology trend makes it even more important in places where water is in short supply, which is actually happening in many states throughout America. California, for one, has a terrible water shortage that they must deal with to the point of rationing water to their residents. Some communities even encourage the limited flushing of the toilet. Some cities have made it an offense to water a lawn or garden or use water at given times of day for anything other than drinking or personal hygiene. That’s pretty extreme if you think about it. There are even a number of places where it is possible to get a ticket for washing your car!

So how does this work? Turning wastewater into drinking water doesn’t sound good. It definitely works, though. Modern day technology allows for sophisticated processes to effectively clean the water and put it through several levels of purification. The end product is clean and usable water taken from unlikely sources that would not otherwise have been used.

This is an amazing process if you think about it. The possibilities are endless. So what if you could use a purification process in your own home to provide even cleaner water for your family. Especially in the case of purified waste water, you might want to put in a system for your own peace of mind. While there are numerous tests run regularly on the treated wastewater, you might just want to add your own measure of purification just to be sure.

The bottom line here is that if water as undesirable and undrinkable as waste water can be purified, then surely there is a very definite ability to get great drinking water from your tap water. Add a home water filtration system to your water supply. You can remove any elements that you don’t want in your water. Chlorine is in many drinking water sources and if you don’t want it in yours, you can easily remove it.
